Sub-Zero refrigeration repair
One manufacturer, five product families and the sealed system behind all of them. $80 flat to diagnose, credited toward the repair.
We are an independent shop. That means no dispatch queue, no script, and the same technicians looking at the same machine compartment every working day. It also means we will tell you when a cabinet is not worth the part.
Families covered: Built-in · Column · Undercounter · Ice maker · Wine storage · Sealed system.
- Sub-Zero condenser and coil service
Condenser cleaning and corrosion inspection, planned around marine aerosol rather than a generic annual interval.
- Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator repair
Diagnosis and repair of built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezers, from door seals and drain lines to the machine compartment itself.
- Sub-Zero integrated column refrigerator and freezer repair
Service for integrated column refrigerators and freezers, where the cabinet is panelled into the joinery and airflow is the first thing to check.
- Sub-Zero undercounter refrigeration repair
Undercounter refrigerators, refrigerator drawers and outdoor-rated units, including the coastal patio installations that fail first.
- Sub-Zero ice maker and ice system repair
Ice makers and in-cabinet ice systems, diagnosed by watching a full fill, freeze and harvest cycle rather than by swapping the assembly.
- Sub-Zero wine storage repair
Wine storage units and dual-zone cabinets, where stability matters more than raw cooling and humidity is half the specification.
- Sub-Zero sealed system diagnosis and repair
Compressor, evaporator, condenser and refrigerant-side faults, diagnosed with readings before anything is opened.
What do these repairs usually cost?
Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work.
| Work | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic visit | $80 flat, credited |
| Door gasket or seal replacement | $230–$630 |
| Evaporator or condenser fan motor | $270–$590 |
| Defrost heater, thermostat or sensor | $240–$610 |
| Ice maker, water valve or supply line | $240–$660 |
Ranges, not quotes. What a cabinet actually needs is settled by readings taken with the grille off, and the figure you are asked to approve is written down before a part is ordered. The whole table is on the pricing page.
Which Sub-Zero repairs do you take on?
- All of the refrigeration: built-in refrigeration, integrated column refrigerators and freezers, undercounter refrigeration, ice makers, wine storage. Each has a page of its own above because the diagnosis differs, not the marketing. We do not repair cooking, dishwashing, laundry, heating or air-conditioning equipment, and we take no second manufacturer.
Do you charge to look at a cabinet?
- Yes, a flat diagnostic, and it is credited toward the repair if you approve the work. The table on this page shows the fee and the bands the common faults fall into. What your cabinet needs is settled by readings and written down before anything is ordered.
Which page should I read if I only know the symptom?
- Describe it rather than name a part. Warm on top and cold below, runs but makes no ice, frost on one wall only: each of those points at a different system, and each page above is written around the symptom instead of the part number.
Not sure which page you need?
Describe the symptom rather than the part. "Warm on top, cold below", "runs and makes no ice", "frost on one wall only" — each of those points at a different system, and the pages above are written around exactly that. Distance from the water changes the odds, so it is worth reading the block page for your street as well.
