A one-line shop on a salt coast
Seawall Refrigeration has serviced Sub-Zero refrigeration in Jacksonville Beach and the neighbouring beaches since 2016.
We repair one manufacturer's refrigeration and nothing else. Built-in cabinets, integrated columns, undercounter units, ice makers and wine storage. Not cooking equipment, not dishwashers, not laundry, and not other brands. A shop that sees the same machine compartment every working day gets faster and more honest about it; a shop that sees forty different ones gets neither.
Independent, and specific about what that means
Seawall Refrigeration is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sub-Zero or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
Independence is the whole business model, not a disclaimer we tolerate. It means we answer to the homeowner who called. It means we can tell you a cabinet is not worth the part, or that your ice complaint is a blocked drain and a loaded coil rather than a failed assembly. It also means that if you want work carried out under a manufacturer program, you should contact the manufacturer directly — we will say so rather than let you assume.
What we hold
- EPA Section 608. Technicians are EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant handling.
- Independent. Owner-operated and independent. We answer to the homeowner, not to a manufacturer program.
- Written estimates. No work begins without a written estimate you have approved.
Why the coast changes the work
Inland service guidance says clean a condenser once a year. That guidance does not survive here. Within half a mile of the Atlantic, chloride-laden marine aerosol lands on the fin pack daily, holds moisture in it, and binds ordinary household lint into a bonded mat. The fin starts losing material at its leading edge, and the pale bloom that follows is the thing we photograph on most first visits in 32250, 32233, 32266.
The installation is the second story. A built-in is joinery as much as machine: it sits in a cased opening built to its dimensions, breathes through a grille with a specified clearance, and vents into whatever the last carpenter left it. A compartment that cannot exhaust recycles its own hot air, and the cabinet quietly loses its last few degrees in August. We measure clearance and exhaust temperature before anything else, because every other reading is contaminated by that one.
That is why this site has a page per area rather than one page with place names swapped in. Distance to the water sets the service interval, and it is a real difference across four miles of barrier island.
How we charge
Flat $129 diagnostic. It is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with the work. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor is billed. 90 days on labor, 365 days on parts. Genuine OEM parts on every repair. The full terms are on pricing and warranty, and the common questions are answered on the questions page.
What we will not do
- Claim a manufacturer relationship we do not have.
- Publish a review we did not receive, or a rating that is not the plain average of the reviews printed on the page carrying it.
- Quote a figure we cannot source, or a statistic we cannot show you.
- Advertise emergency or overnight service we do not run.
- Fit a pattern part into a sealed system and call it a repair.
